Needle felting is a wonderfully satisfying form of textile work that is both challenging and very forgiving. It can be worked three-dimensionally or two-dimensionally onto a ground fabric. Whatever your mind can come up with can be worked in this soft and friendly medium. The barbed needles hook the wool fibres together in a manner that is similar to back-combing ones hair. The tangles hold it all together and the more you poke, the better it tangles!  

Needle felting is easy to learn and takes very little in terms of investment to make glorious functional objects.
